KAMCO (KIPCO Asset Management Company) - a premier asset management and financial services company in Kuwait - has announced the successful completion of a summer internship course by a group of promising youth who were acquainted with the various divisions of the Company and the workings of the investment field for a month. The interns were selected from a pool of applications received from university students in local and international universities across all nationalities filtered by KAMCO's Human Resource Management & Development Department.

"To continue the tradition of investment expertise, we must equip competent youth with the tools and know-how to enable them to contribute to the sector in specific and the country in general," says Mr. Khaled Abdul Jabbar Al Sharrad, KAMCO's Senior Executive Vice President of the Human Resource Management & Development and Administration Division. "We are proud to have given interns the opportunity to interact with executives across our various divisions and provide them with a jumpstart in their careers."

This initiative follows a series of endeavours by KAMCO to support knowledge-acquisition as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility Agenda. Earlier this year, the Company supported ? for the second consecutive year - the Fifth Annual Job Fair organized by the American University of Kuwait. KAMCO also held an honorary function recently to recognize ten outstanding students from Kuwait who were recently presented with the Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rasheed Al Maktoum Award for Child Creativity held by the United Arab Emirates. In 2007, KAMCO facilitated the KAMCO Burgan Bank Dealing Room - a first-of-its-kind establishment - at Kuwait University's College for Business Administration.
